“The office politics on display – professional, sexual or otherwise – have the whole audience laughing from the off.”
WHAT'S ON STAGE

"A hotbed of thwarted ambition and professional jealousy."
TIME OUT

"Hamish MacDougall’s production is fast-paced, well staged and captures the politics and in-fighting of an office... designer Jemima Carter-Lewis deserves a nod for her super-detailed set."
HAM & HIGH

“Steve Hay as the Chief Sub-editor, Derek, handled the complexities of a likeable character turned power happy... Driving the piece forward was Michael Cusick as downtrodden Finch... Naomi Waring as the female entering the male environment and therefore changing their behaviour has a gift for the quieter more awkward moments... Max Krupski completes the cast convincingly as the
quiet young achiever." THE PUBLIC REVIEWS

GUARDIAN GUIDE "Pick Of The Week"

In the offices of Gentlemen Prefer... magazine, it’s business as usual for the sub-editing team of Derek (chief), Finch (deputy) and James (office junior)- correcting contributors’ spelling, coming up with headlines, competing for a coveted promotion and suffering debilitating status anxiety.

Then, while they are working on the latest issue of their upscale men’s magazine, creating a world they themselves will never be allowed to inhabit, the unthinkable happens... a woman enters the team. Anna - young, beautiful and freelance - is the ultimate test of their lovelorn manhood.

It’s time for some changes around here.
